Furthermore, the areas used for storage must be constructed of finished materials that are impermeable and capable of being easily maintained in a sanitary condition. The waste itself should be stored in a manner and location that protects it from water, precipitation, wind, animals, and does not provide a breeding place or food source for insects or rodents. To maintain a non-putrescent state, BMW may be refrigerated during storage.
